Ostracism Rules

Ostracism Protocol → “When the Mark Fades”

The Chamber protects its culture with a fully on-chain ostracism system, designed to eliminate misalignment before it spreads.

The process has three phases:

A) Shadow Petition

Any member may initiate a petition to review another member’s Mark.

Triggers include:

  • tone disruption

  • misalignment

  • extraction behavior

  • leakage

  • cultural corrosion

If the petition reaches the activation threshold (e.g., 10% of members), the Shadow Vote begins.

B) Shadow Vote

All Soulbound holders vote.

Ostracism Threshold:

  • ≥ 60% YES → The Mark is revoked

  • < 60% YES → The member is absolved

This ensures fairness while maintaining the Chamber’s integrity.

C) Protocol-Based Removal → “When the Mark Fades”

Once the threshold is met:

  • The Mark dims

  • The runes freeze

  • Reputation drops to zero

  • Mark balance is frozen or burned

  • Access closes

  • The Mark transitions from Active → Fading → Revoked → Burned

This is not exile for drama’s sake. This is protection of the sacred integrity of the Chamber.

The Chamber endures. The unaligned do not.

D) Smart Contract Enforcement

Upon reaching the threshold, the smart contract automatically:

  • burns the NFT, or

  • changes its active status = false, or

  • disables voting rights, access rights, prestige effects, and Mark accrual

No moderator hands. No human discretion. Only protocol-level judgment, exactly as a cult governance system should behave.
